Very few like the idea of American Exceptionalism. They constantly take issue with the fact that America does not conform to international standards and norms on a variety of issues.

Does this sound like a people who love their country?

Legislatures, by there very nature of being districted, afford Republicans an inherent advantage.

The disproportionate concentration of certain demographic groups in a small number of districts creates a small number of lopsided Democrat districts and a larger number of marginally Republican districts.

e.g. 10 x (80% D, 20% R) + 40 (45% D, 55% R) yields a 40-10 Republican legislative majority even though Republican candidates received a minority of votes.

Ahhhh, just what we needed here, Another right-wing rant on what they believe Dems really believe or advocate, and as usual they only succeed in proving once again that they really do not know what they are talking about. In other words just another right-wing Whine thread.

It is worth noting that the supposed dominance of the Democrats due to them being alive and the GOP being dead (via the racist* equation of white with dead) is belied by the fact that of all the levers of power in American government the Democrats control only the Presidency and the Senate, while the Republicans control the House, the state governorships, and the upper and lower houses of the state legislatures. Are the Republicans in trouble if they can't recruit more members and make a new case to the voters? Yes, but is a falsehood to suggest they are a dying minority party with no chance of winning "because demographics", considering that to a large extent that are winning right now.

*Imagine if Newsweek after a Romney victory said "Dems: you're old, you're black, you're history", and imagine if Bitcoin was called "a poor, black, female disaster". In real life it was "GOP: you're old, you're white, you're history", and "a rich, white, male disaster". Both of these statements are racist and would be condemned if they insulted anyone but whites; the double standard suggests racism, seeing as under racial equality statements about whites would be subject to as much scrutiny as ones made about any other race.

Then how come there wasn't much of an advantage for Republicans in the state legislatures versus any other part of government before 2010? Also, I think the 2010 and 2012 gubernatorial elections, which are statewide thus obviously not gerrymandered, provide proof enough that Republicans' dominance of the states has little to do with districting.

Turning a blind eye towards the country's shortcomings isn't a form of "love."

Democrats have a problem of not voting in non-presidential years.

Also, Republicans gerrymandered the hell out of 2010. How do they lose the popular vote in so many battleground states, lose the presidential vote, yet win 70+% of representation? I'm supposed to believe Michigan is a Republican stronghold?!?!?!

If America's gun owners keep listening to all the Fox news/Rush radio garbage about liberals and guns, this country could become a gun free zone like Europe.

Nearly every source you quoted are far left wing ones. Obama did not deport more illegal aliens than any other president either. This has been debunked over and over. Even if it were true he has done a complete turn around on deportations by instructing Homeland Security not to deport any illegal aliens unless they are convicted criminals. Add to that his DACA policy that he implemented and constant promises of amnesty for the rest and he has one of the worst records of dealing with illegal aliens.

Every source you quote is a far right one. See how that works, Oldglory? You can't accuse others of cherrypicking biased sources when you yourself do the exact same thing. If you want to play that game, then your sources are no more correct than his
