It's the U.K. and Ireland. Who cares.

It's a business decision in a local market. In another country to boot.

Why is this our problem?

Sounds like it.

If Subway is alienating their customer base, those stores will go out of business.

Case closed.

There have been Kosher Subway shops in Jewish neighborhoods in the US, since 1986. Ham and bacon were removed from the menu. Cheese is made from soy. These stores close for the sabbath.

These are franchises owned and operated by people of Jewish faith.

I live 15 min from a heavily Jewish town and neighborhoods, never seen any Kosher chain restaurant. Google Monsey, Kiryas Joel, Spring Valley..... All Jewish towns

Same thing... The reason why they eliminated was due to pressure for Muslims because it is haram

or it would be easier, and more relevant, to google "kosher subway". you'd find this list from 2 years ago

Cleveland, OH – JCC 26001 South Woodland Rd., Beachwood
Los Angeles, CA – 8948 W. Pico Blvd, Los Angeles
Miami, FL – JCC 18900 Northeast 25th Ave, North Miami Beach
Baltimore, MD – 706 Reisterstown Rd., Baltimore
Rockville, MD – JCC 6125 Montrose Rd., Rockville

at it's peak there were 12 kosher subways:
