If the sign-up deadline was March 31 it's not surprising that a good many folks hadn't paid their premiums by April 15. A lot of people put stuff off until the last minute.

Are you implying that 30% signed up on 3/31 ?

In mid-March only 4 million people were signed up. Most of the 4 million who signed up after that date didnt have their insurance start until today May 1 and their payment wasnt due until April 30. A lot of people who autopay dont have their payments taken out until the due date. Republicans of course convenient forgot about half the states and those enrollment numbers. If you included those the number paid is more like 5 million.

Why doesnt the energy committee look into stuff concerning energy. This year SW Gas billed me $60 for natural gas I never used. The energy committee if they were concerned with the public should look at the billions of dollars the natural gas companies fleeced from customers this winter.

I posted a link where the experts are saying that most don't have checking accounts/credit cards and have to pay by cash and are having a hard time getting there to pay.
Providers are working with CVS so these people can go to CVS and pay their bills.

Where are you getting your information about the autopay ?

Haha, your source shows Connecticut as having 67,551 enrollees with 67,551 having paid..

Yeah, I believe that.. RIGHT..

Are you counting 67K customers a success or a failure?

Where's that GOP alternative plan again?

The numbers are meaningless at this point. Obamacare is the law of the land at this point. Until the Republicans can come up with a viable alternative that won't kick millions off health care, they have no leg to stand on at all.
So in it's place liberals have kicked millions who HAD health care off their policys, because their policies didn't meet the guidelines prescribed by the ACA. Now THOSE people have no healthcare. The out of pocket expenses of the new policies are so ridiculous that those who have purchased a policy are quickly figuring out that they are paying for nothing. For a lot of people who live on a fixed income, a $6000 deductible, translates into no coverage at all. People are now figuring that out. As for GOP alternative plans, they were never allowed to be debated under Pelosi and Reid..... They did exist, but were never even debated.

I was in DC the day it pasted.

It was sickening when Pelosi parted the gathering carrying her BIG hammer.

Any other time she likely would have walk though the tunnel.
