Republican Rep. Steve Hickey of South Dakota wrote a letter to the local paper calling the anus a "one way alley for the garbage truck". He acknowledges that both gays and straights engage in anal sex but in a mixed message says it's a health risk but focuses on calling it "gay sex", against family values, and leading to the downfall of many past civilizations.
"Consider this an open letter to the medical and psychological communities in South Dakota. The subject is homosexuality, which is about to be a front-page topic for the next few years in our state."

He tries to present and repackage his religious views as a pubic health issue but his letter betrays him.

Indulging in ordinary heterosexual sex isn't without its health concerns. But what about straight guys who get into pegging with women. Isn't doing that unhealthy down there or too much abuse on the tissues for the guys?

I know for real.....I have a best friend who is a straight female who loves anal sex so much I think she lost her virginity up the pooper before she did her vagina. And me being a bi male im not so much into it unless I am in a long term relationship.
I have been saying this for 20 years now...How in hell is what anyone does in the privacy of their bedroom anybody's business as long as it's not hurting anyone! Some people think that gay ppl are going to take over the world and make everyone "turn" gay or something...talk about ridiculous.
