They have to generate publicity some how or other. When this flops, back to birth certificates or Obamacare.
Gowdy was supposedly an excellent prosecutor. So I expect, as long as the WH/State Dept comply, if there is anything to be found, he will find it.
The key is just how much, if at all, the WH and State Dept will comply. It would not shock me to see them stonewall. They seem to do it every time they may have something to hide.
And to all you liberal hacks, if you truly believe there is nothing to find here, then you should urge the WH and State Dept to play along and comply. Hell, if there is nothing to anything here then them complying could make the GOP look like crazies in the end, right? You would be proven right by being open and transparent, right? So what the hell is your issue with that? Are you that scared that something bad will be found?
This is a GOP train wreck with the fund raising side show, not going to look good in the next election. The republican congressmen are fighting to get on the committee, please explain what would be different this time around and who he will call to testify. Obamacare was supposed to be the star of the show, but since it failed to fail, and contrary to the Republicans' prognostications, the country is still standing (much to their dismay, I'm sure), they had to go to Benghazi, the understudy waiting in the wings.
But not to worry, folks, we know the GOP excels at putting on a show. They obviously have nothing else to do.

This is absurd of course the video existed and of course there were violent riots/attacks/protests about that video. This was widely and repeatedly report in multiple media platforms.
So if you are saying that attacks on the video never happened that is flat out incorrect.

It was the anniversary of 9-11. We had helped overthrow the government of Libya and those who supported the government had just watched Qadaffi drug through the streets and his corpse abused. We were running arms out of the embassy and people were upset over a video?
The whole controversy is over this phony idea that the whitehouse created the talking point that the attacks in Libya were caused by the video.
That is not true CIA intelligence created the talking points.
The CIA created the talking point about a spontaneous attack inspired by the attacks in Cairo and the attacks in Cairo were inspired by that video.
The former CIA director said that the talking points came from the CIA intelligence.
So what is the cover up?
