Good question. I happen to know this one ;

-Clinton is good looking. Bush looks stupid.

-Clinton is intelligent. Bush is stupid.

-Clinton is elocuent. Bush is that kid with the speech disability that you knew back in fourth grade.

-Clinton likes woman. Bush likes Cheney.

-Clinton left us a surplus. Bush created the largest national deficit ever iknown in the history of Western Civilization. Now that's a legacy.

-Clinton is likeable. He's charming. Bush looks rustic and awkward. Clinton glides; Georgie struts, like John Wayne with a slight leg wound.

Clinton was liked overseas because they saw his womanizing as something trivial and even almost acceptable. Bush is despised overseas, where they they wish he would start womanizing and stop starting wars at the drop of a hat.

Clinton is the supreme a*slicker of all time, and seen as a patsy globally. Rogue countries only got a coy smile and slick remark from him, so they knew they could get away with their underhanded antics. So, no they did not like Bush coming in and talking about the Axis of Evil and then blowing up Saddam's paradise. Just ruined their sandbox.

Well, it took .28 seconds to find a BBC report that: "The US has offered financial inducements to help upgrade Turkish facilities " in exchange for Turkish support of the Iraq war so in a word..............YES!
Anything to just disagree ha?

At least 36 countries are still supporting the war. Looks like Japan backed out just last month, after the law authorizing it expired. Not sure who the other country is because it was 38 up to just September. I'm sure you'll just find a reason to disagree just for the sake of disagreeing.

Countries with troops on ground in Iraq

1. Albania
2. Armenia
3. Austrailia
4. Azerbaijan
5. Bosnia and Herzegovina
6. Bulgaria
7. Czech Republic
8. Denmark
9. El Salvador
10. Estonia
11. Georgia
12. Japan
13. Kazakhstan
14. South Korea
15. Latvia
16. Lithuania
17. Macedonia
18. Moldova
19. Mongolia
20. Poland
21. Romania
22. Singapore
23. Slovakia
24. Ukraine
25. United Kingdom
26. Tonga

United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq
1. Canada
2. Fiji
3. New Zealand

NATO Training NTM-I
1. Hungary
2. Iceland
3. Italy
4. Netherlands
5. Portugal
6. Slovenia
7. Turkey

Plus countries that are providing forces in other categories, which isnt listed.

Never did I say they had HUGE numbers there.. The statement was, that they had troops there period. I'd be frist to admit that some of them are just a handful of support.

True, but even the carrot cost money

Have you ever heard the expression, "token forces"?. That's what each nation listed contributes to the wars in Iraq & Afganistan.

Look hard at the first list of nations; witht the exception of Britain, Australia, Japan or Denmark, they're all either pauper nations or struggling themselves.
The 'assistance' of 3 guys from El Salvador or 7 from Tonga hardly constitutes any meaningful support. It's like when Argentina declared war on its former ally Germany three days before Germany surrendered.

And what have we promised in return for some countries participation?

After all, the most obnoxious man in the world can stroll with a beautiful woman on each arm for the right amount of $$$$$$$$$, doesn't mean they're his friends.
I hate to burst your bubble, but you are missing quite a few coalition countries. Countries publicly committed to the Coalition involved in Operation Iraqi Freedom:
  • Afghanistan,
  • Albania,
  • Angola,
  • Australia,
  • Azerbaijan,
  • Bulgaria,
  • Colombia,
  • Costa Rica,
  • Czech Republic,
  • Denmark,
  • Dominican Republic,
  • El Salvador,
  • Eritrea,
  • Estonia,
  • Ethiopia,
  • Georgia,
  • Honduras,
  • Hungary,
  • Iceland,
  • Italy,
  • Japan,
  • Kuwait,
  • Latvia,
  • Lithuania,
  • Macedonia,
  • Marshall Islands,
  • Micronesia,
  • Mongolia,
  • Netherlands,
  • Nicaragua,
  • Palau,
  • Panama,

  • Singapore,
  • Slovakia,
  • Solomon Islands,
  • South Korea,

  • Turkey,
  • Uganda,
  • Ukraine,
  • United Kingdom, and
  • Uzbekistan.
The largest coalition ever assembled by ANY President.
