They're onto us! Global warming is a vast conspiracy dating back to half a century, involving every country in the world, thousands upon thousands of paid-off scientists and the fudging of the evidence, all to squeeze a nickel out of American right-wingers.
Now, if only we could get those pesky Inuit up North to shut the hell up, our agenda will be come to fruition.

There's a video of Harry on the Floor of the Senate where he clearly says this so it must be true!

Reid: Kochs ‘main causes’ of climate change

Quote:
By BURGESS EVERETT | 5/7/14 10:37 AM EDT

Charles and David Koch are one of the “main causes” of climate change, charged Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on the Senate floor.

While the Koch brothers admit to not being experts on the matter, these billionaire oil tycoons are certainly experts at contributing to climate change. That’s what they do very well. They are one of the main causes of this. Not a cause, one of the main causes,” Reid said.

snip
Damn them Koch brothers, damn them all to hell!

Look at what they have done, glaciers are receding and the major reason is KOCH brothers.

How can Harry Reid be wrong when government sites essentially say the same thing?

NOAA Paleoclimatology Program - Glaciation and Ice Ages

The map below outlines in blue the extent of the Laurentide Ice Sheet 15,000 years ago. Geologists have found material left by the ice throughout this area, proving that virtually all of Canada and some of the northern US were once covered by thick glacial ice. Similar findings show that ice was also widespread in many other parts of the world. Scientists believe that changes in the earth's climate caused the ice sheets to grow.

Look at what the Koch brothers have done!

15,000 years ago better than half of Ohio was under a sheet of ice several thousand feet think.

In that 15,000 year the great glacier has receded nearly 2,000 miles to Baffin Island at a rate of 704 feet every year. Well over one tenth of a mile every year without letup.

Why did Koch Brothers do this? Quick, send money to Al Gore so he can save us!

//Sarcasm off

I would really laugh at the global warmers if they weren't so destructive.

That's the thing. We're looking at a mere sliver of the earth's history and making assumptions based on that tiny amount of data. The earth has warmed and cooled many times before humans put a foot on this planet, so why is skepticism about AGW treated with so much hostility from warmists? Shouldn't we tread carefully here, since policies we put in place here can have unintended negative repercussions and put crippling regulations on industry?

There is huge amounts of money on the line to prove that AWG is true. Climate scientists rake in millions in grants and funding to prove climate change is true; shouldn't their findings be scrutinized under a microscope when their careers are dependent upon proving AGW? You wouldn't expect climate scientists studying AGW to think they'll keep getting funding if they disprove AGW. We know they've been caught fiddling with their climate models to keep the gravy flowing, so naturally there's reason to be skeptical. Being a scientist doesn't automatically make you ethical...

Likewise, there are billions of dollars being made by green energy companies (many tied to the current administration) peddling global warming hysteria. It's big business just like anything else, except they've found a niche that both nets them giant checks from the government as well as shielding themselves from any criticism, since their "motive" is for the well-being of mother earth and our children. No, their motive is money, just like any other big business but they get a pass since warmists gloss over cronyism when they feel its for the greater good.

1. Co2 is a greenhouse gas (traps heat).
2. There is more CO2 in the atmosphere now than there has been for about 3 million years, long before humans even appeared on the planet.
3. Co2 is produced by burning of fossil fuels.
4. Animals, plants, and inanimate objects don't burn fossil fuels.

Therefore, all of this warming is perfectly natural?

Seriously-- this isn't even complicated.

Because they are intellectually dishonest.

What's a warmist? Are you talking about people who are aware that the facts contradict Republican claims? I don't think praying for rain works either, am I a weatherist?

How much?

By whom?

Maybe you wouldn't. I have no reason to think they're under pressure to produce desired results. By the way, who desires these results? Which scientists have they paid off? Be specific and prove your claims.

I know denialists claim such, yes. I have no reason whatsoever to believe such claims.

Hence, peer review. Something denialists eschew.

Again, prove this. Links to other denialists aren't good enough. Let's see something real.

The oil companies get MUCH larger subsidies from the government:

And again, all I ever hear from denialists are conspiracy theories and junk science that doesn't stand up to even amateur scrutiny-- the denialist movement consists of a handful of legitimate scientists with dubious funding or unrelated credentials and the rest is pure PR... and that's the best of them.

The most respected AGW scientists have decades of experience and run departments at universities.

There is a new problem....CCA! No kidding, saw it posted in a Canadian news item. Climate Change Anxiety!! Kids coming down with it in droves. Afraid the world is going to end.

Little do they know their lives and fortunes are being sacrified and they will be paying dearly all their lives for the political agenda driven, human caused global warming scam designed to make some people rich beyond imagination.

This is what REALLY drives me crazy about the fear mongering and the alarmism. We have children thinking the world is coming to an end and then they get to school and their liberal/activist teachers preach to them like Al Gore instead of teaching them both sides of the issue.
Cynical adults decided to use fear mongering because it gets attention, gets funding dollars and makes careers, they never consider the consequences of those choices.

It's common knowledge these wackos wear tin foil hats when they think nobody is looking.
