Does the age of the person who shot you make any difference? No. Anybody can pull a trigger and kill you. I think the general public watches too many movies where cops have superman abilities and are not afraid to die.
Do cops ever think about getting themselves out of harm's way when they disarm and detain?

Nope!

Their cowardice training doesn't leave 'em with a lick of common sense.

Always. Unfortunately you have a job to do and in close distance not much room to maneuver.

On one hand, a 93 year old who is able to hold a gun and point it at someone can pull the trigger and kill just as easily as a 23 year old. On the other hand, police have a well deserved reputation of being happy to shoot. Police are greatly over valued; most of the 'criminals' they pursue are people who are involved with illegal drugs, which if the drugs weren't illegal would instantaneously reduce violent crime. Police should solve crimes that have already been committed, like burglaries, not think they are out to protect everyone. Because they do not do a very good job of protecting anyone.

Cops are only enforcing the law. If you don't like the law take it up with your politicians instead of the cops. Cops in America have much tougher jobs than anywhere else in the civilized world: nowhere else there are as many guns as in America.

The cop should have offered to take the woman to lunch and chat.

I don't think she would have heard him as she was firing her gun in his direction. He's lucky he is alive, that's all.

I'm sorry, but you are even more pathetic than most of the boot lickers that normally surface here. I notice your ID is new. Who were you before your old ID got banned? Tough job? This is the second kill for this guy in a year in a town of just over 4000 people. That in and of itself should raise a big red flag. The majority of cops go their whole career without firing their weapon. The fact that this guy killed two people in a one stoplight town is astounding. Thankfully he was fired today. Maybe you can send him a "Cheer up buckaroo" card.
