I'm not worried about it. Now that these two are flying the faith flag I'm sure they will get all sorts of publicity, fans, supporters, and maybe some other kind of deal by true believers who want to make them a status symbol. Perhaps HGTV can be boycotted by Christians or something. WOOHOOO!

So are you for it in this case? But not another?

Interesting rhetoric.

Why would you use it?

Sex has a purpose.

That different people engage in various forms of sex, and that many of these variations on sex have little or nothing to do with the original purpose of sex doesn't mean that sex no longer has a purpose or that that purpose has become irrelevant.

We are all here because of sex, and the sex that brought us here is the sort of sex intended by nature.

The fact that this is a special category of sex and it stands alone will not change just because Google, Microsoft, Apple, Disney, Target and others have entered the debate and would argue that it is not and does not.

Being on the wrong side of simple logic requires silencing opponents.

So make your hit lists, demand those who hold a different opinion be fired from their jobs, boycott companies that fail to toe the line...tolerate no dissent.

We'll continue to quietly point out what is already obvious.
So? Are you saying that if you continue to outlaw SSM, gays won't have sex?
Or perhaps you're saying that sex should only be reserved for procreation?
Yes, we're all here because of sex. The population will continue to swell whether you approve of SSM or not. Whether you believe that coitus should be reserved for the marital bed only or not.
The human race will not be in any danger of going extinct if you allow people who love each other to get married.
It's not about the sex. It's about their rights.

I think that is the point the OP was trying to make.
Let's not forget that only a short time ago anyone accused of being part of the Communist party was blacklisted. Liberals out of the Voltaire mold, rightly objected to some people losing their entire careers and by extension lives over their beliefs.

Yet todays liberals are no longer concerned with freedom of thought and speech. Instead they pretend to be for it, so long as it is speech they agree with. This has come about because of their new religion, Political Correctness.
Yet PC is nothing more than a means to suppress any point of view that does not go along with the current liberal orthodoxy.

Is that really what you are claiming to love

It's not about the sex. It's about their rights.

Individuals have rights.

Behaviors and preferences do not.

Last time I checked, gays were individuals, not part of the Borg collective.

That worked out so well for the Southern Baptists with regard to their silly antipathy for Disney. Eight years with no proof that their boycott did anything more than turning people away from the Southern Baptist Convention.

Well that's nice that you will only ever have sex if you want to make a baby.

Are you a virgin then?

Yes we know your hatred for Christians.

As you've noted, I focus my attention on perspectives, not individuals. I have no hatred for Christians. I object to the practice of Dominionism. It is foolish to claim you don't understand the difference.
