What do the Koch brothers have against renewable energy, several states are suddenly in the process of eliminating standards.

Quote:

TOPEKA — Lawmakers have revived legislation meant to end the state’s renewable energy standards, but have altered it so that it would happen gradually.
The House will vote on the bill Friday.

Earlier in the session the House voted down a bill that would have repealed
the renewable portfolio standard, better known as the RPS, which requires that
utility companies get 20 percent of their power from renewable sources by 2020.

The Koch Brothers are in the energy business, and understand how to buy government. This isn't complex.

It's funny how totally cool the GOP base is with their politicians being owned by the plutocracy.

Why does anyone want politicians making energy choices for them.

Renewable energy standards are just more of the nonsense that flows from the ideological left that hurts average Americans. Once again, a thumbs up to Kansas for calling them into question....California could use a heaping helping of that sensibility.

No viable energy source needs a government mandate to enter the marketplace.

Really? Then why isn't it funny how totally cool you are with your politicians being owned by the plutocracy? 8 of 10 of the richest counties in the nation are Democrat, not Republican.

Renewable energy will stand on it's own at some point in the futures, setting standards for utility companies allows for slow change and smart growth. Plenty of subsidies are out there for all energy resources in one form or another, moving away from fossil fuels has many benefits.

ALEC, the Koch funded group has focused on the repeal of standards in many states.

Default Koch-Funded Groups Fuel Assault On Kansas Clean Energy Law

Shocking!

Greedy billionaires use their influence and resources to gain favor that will eliminate or reduce competition to their business.

Who could have seen this coming?

And who could have predicted that it would the GOP facilitating their agenda?
