And the Dems have Harry Reid in the Senate refusing to bring ANY job bills up for vote because they were written by Republicans. The GOP is trying to rein in a President who has NO respect for the Constitution and for free markets. Six years in, and he has NOTHING to show but some poorly constructed health care act. If Obama is the best that the Dems can do, let's only vote in Republicans for the next 100 years.

You are invoking the false equivalence. Condemning both sides equally, no matter who is really responsible. We have the Republican House shows no reason to actually govern, while they're passing resolutions for the 40th or 50th time repealing Obamacare, conduct baseless investigations and defunding the government. There is no similar events on the Democratic side.

Sorry, that's not equal.

I hope not, even if it is discovered he was involved in things like ordering the IRS to go after "enemies". Even then you'd hope some decent (D's) would vote to impeach him if the evidence was convincing.

I think the nuclear option should not be used by the (R's) because Reid and the (D's) that changed the rules are exposed hypocrites because of it.

When (R's) floated the idea when they were in the majority, (D's) made it sound like our very democracy was in peril if the (R's) did it. I remember a young junior senator from IL making such comments, along with Reid. Yet they turned right around when they were in the majority and pulled that crap. So let that be a historical stain upon them and their party without resorting to the same thing.

Yeah. The drive started in November of 2008.

Another made-up scandal that two years of investigations turned up nothing.

The other day the House voted to hold in contempt Lois Lerner, the former Internal Revenue Service official whom they would love to blame for the administration’s crackdown on conservative groups, if only they could prove there was a crackdown, which they can’t, because there wasn’t.

A-ha! Congressman Pete Sessions (R - well, of course - and from Texas, because Florida isn't allowed to completely corner the market on crazy) has been waiting for someone to say that.

See, he's gone on record saying that the fact there's a witch hunt means there's a witch! (I swear, I am not making this up.) Yup, this outstanding Lone-Star-Stater has actually managed to turn one of the most common English idioms upside down and is heading a frontal assault on common sense and logic. And you fell right into his trap.

Anyway, Maddow (by way of Monty Python) has humiliated him much better than I can, so...

Rachel Maddow explains Benghazi flap by way of Monty Python: ‘Burn the witch! Burn her!’

Where's the beef, boys?

It's a nice and easy diversion, and there's always the possibility that Hillary could look bad come 2016.

If a drive for impeachment exists, it's a drive on a road that leads straight over a cliff.

Isn't this the same course of action the Dems took against Nixon? What about the witch hunt perpetuated against GWB? They wanted to impeach him for the very wars they voted to fight themselves. Remember; they were for them before they were against them.

I'm not defending or attacking either party, I'm just pointing out that both parties use the exact same tactics.

A & B are exactly right! I'd add that at least Nixon cared enough about the country to resign, while Clinton had no problem ripping us apart. To think that Nixon was the gracious one, between the two, is mind numbing.

Now C... if a dysfunctional government is a good thing, then we are screwed.
