I agree with you that Sams deserves his shot, though I'm not sure he'll have a career in the NFL, but armchair quarterbacking is what it is. However, what I hear listening to my local radio is that the right- wing radio hosts are spending more time expousing outrage over this than the MSM is in covering it.

The reality is that Sam knew he was a longshot to make an NFL roster. HE knew this. Before any of the homosexual conspiracy theorists started jumping on the wagon, he was aware even as the SEC DPOY he had a tough line to tow.
So what does he do? Announce he is gay RIGHT before the draft.
