Not to worry, I do laugh when people take ASSumption as fact, but probably not with them.

BTW: 'verture' isn't a word either.

That's something you should take up with the political parties.
When you write a grant proposal (even if it is about rocket science), one section is "how the project can benefit minority groups" or something like that. It is not required, but it helps.

oh I did! in fact, i learned pretty quick to "write to the bias" it worked.

in fact, my then Girlfriend, now wife, was struggling and I told her to figure out the politics of her proff and start writing to support their beliefs. it worked. her grades improved.

i am quite good and spelling words that arent actual words! LOL.

ive overcome the vast majority of the impediments of dyslexia however that pesky spelling thing beats me down every time. it could be worse, i could not be illliberal. insert giggle track here....

I think the proposals are supposed to show how the research is going to benefit whoever they want to get money from and like you said the diversity part is not a requirement.
