Show us how they blocked Obama's tax increases on the rich. You know, the ones that resulted in THIS:

Obama Calls Income Gap 'Morally Wrong' After Widening It The Most In At Least Twenty Years

Because Obama magically controls the entire economy and thus chose to widen the income gap?

Because there was no Great Recession when Obama took office?

Because nothing else at all effects incomes in this nation other than Obama?

Wow...

They are strawman because they have nothing to do with this topic, and a few of those strawman arguments happened during the last president.

It's actually the predictable result of a progressive tax system. The more progressive the taxes, the wider the income gap. Obama and Democrats deliberately chose to progressively increase taxes.

Read and learn:
The liberal case for regressive taxation - Salon.com

Also, look at the regressive tax systems of the European social democracies. They have more income equality, and are more able to provide greater social services (including national health care) to their citizens:

Yes, we get it. The tax structure in the conservative alternative reality reduces the income gap by infinity.

It's not just about income tax. The analysis incorporates all taxes. Read the article, and read the charts:
Other countries don’t have a “47%”
