Idaho Judge Rules Same-Sex Marriage Ban Unconstitutional.

U.S. District Magistrate Judge Candy Dale wrote in the ruling Tuesday evening that Idaho's laws banning same-sex marriage unconstitutionally deny gay and lesbian citizens of their fundamental right to marry.

Dale says marriage works a fundamental change on the lives of all who experience it, and holds immense personal and spiritual significance.
She says Idaho's laws wrongly stigmatize gay and lesbian couples and relegate their families to second-class status without sufficient reason.

Time for SCOTUS to finally take this and affirm.

Good for the judge and good for Idaho. I think homosexual and lesbian couples should have the right to be just as miserable as straight married folks. It also adds jobs in the legal sector for divorce attorneys.

SCOTUS already opened the door with their DOMA decision, and the lower courts are rightly treating that as precedent.

I hope no further gay marriage cases go to SCOTUS because the lower courts are doing their job so far.

Does this mean we're going to have to see even more men kissing on TV? If so, I may just have to kill myself. Or turn off my TV. Or both.

(Note: I'm being facetious.)
