well I admittedly have thought about taking these in the past but could never think up a good enough explanation to give to the hostess as I would be walking out past her...

Well, my first thought was that something was hidden in that tank for him to pick up, but he either couldn't find it or it was too hard to retrieve.

Like drugs or something; money, maybe?
