i've had fun these past five years following the birthers and their claims because ultimately ( with the possible exception of loretta fuddy's family ) it has no affect on the real world. sandy hook, on the other hand, is a completely different scenario. i can't even begin to fathom the grief that these "truthers", jacked up on internet rumors, misinformation and their own self-importance, cause the parents.

I can't help noticing that this outbreak of "trutherism" coincided with the peak of the bath-salts craze.

What a load of BS. NO ONE is saying not to question the government or the media but goddamn it. Calling that girl's mother and saying she never existed is disgusting, perverse behavior. It is NOT the same thing as disagreeing with your government or exercising your freedom of speech.
Meanwhile the Atheist Left will tear down ANYONE'S memorial if it has a cross on it and want them completely banned. Who cares about this woman and her butt hurt feelings.
I get that certain people choose not to believe everything the mainstream media reports.. that is fair to a point.
Certain conspiracy theorist do not want to believe certain things, that does not go their agenda, or simply is not something they want to believe.
Most of us know there a whole propaganda network of websites/blogs/youtube and radio host that promote "conspiracy theorism" in everything.

In the absence of information an intelligent human will fill that gap with a theory which explains the missing information until it can be replaced with new information that makes sense.
a person who feels no need to fill in the gap of missing information is well... someone who can be swayed by being told, 'we have to pass it to find out what is in it" and wonder not why the president said "you can keep your doctor! PERIOD!!" when he knew it wasn't true. Of course that gap was filled in by Obama's medical ethicist who said, "Obama meant that sure you can keep your doctor but you will have to pay extra for it" and still no curiosity as to the different messages. No theories?
