[quote=CravingMountains;34843666]That is fine. No American is wanting to move to Detroit for work anyway. That city needs a massive dose of new blood if you ask me.

We are in debt by the trillions to China. In a few years when they call in this debt, they might be at home soil here.

I'm not buying it. If course, I'm nobody...they don't have to prove it to me. On top of that, I'm not a resident of that city or state so there's no skin off of my back.

They can mask this as being "helpful" to the city of Detroit all they want. Using words like "reinvigorate" isn't moving me one bit.

After all, you mean to tell me that there aren't 50k skilled and highly educated Americans that can't be incentivized to reinvigorate the Southeastern Michigan manufacturing base with all those empty facilities lying around dormant? Really? In a nation of 300 million people?

If that's the case, Americans are a sorry ass lot. The so called "greatest nation on Earth" has to turn to immigrants from a communist country to breathe life into their own economy.

Unreal.
Agreed and HOW!

The US ain't the Ukraine. IF China and the US got into a donnybrook; it'd be real ugly for all of us and IMHO that'd be the end of China. The loss of life there would make the Holocaust look small.

Well, that blows the theory that the Teapartiers are racists, doesn't it? Obama and the Democrats have done far more to destroy American jobs by pushing their gigantic amnesty and stopping the deportation of illegal aliens that have not yet been "convicted" of a crime. Add to that his EO to grant a stay of deportation of thousand of illegal aliens and giving them work permits and....you were saying?

All of that would only add additional problems to Detroit industries. The costs that would come from all this would amount to much more than wages alone would make up for.

You make a lot of assumptions in this post...
