You know it's funny to me how much of a pass the black community as a whole get a pass. Reality is, most traditional black Americans are very conservative, but they vote democratic. Is that why?

Black people, in general do not tolerate, understand, nor try to understand homosexuality. If your gay, keep it away, is there position and they are not shy about voicing that.

They still believe in ole fashioned butt whippins on their kids. Ever seen a black mamma chasing her little smart asss down the block with a broom stick?

They are religious

They do not like immigrants and will voice their opinion openly about immigrants moving in and taking away their perceived opportunities.

And I'm fine with all that. The hypocrisy is in that if any white people show any of the above, they have their jobs taken, will likely be plastered on the six oclock news and so on.

America has lot its ability to reason and have opposing viewpoints. And no matter which way you believe on issues, that is very sad in my opinion. When someone has their career taken cause they don't agree with Gay marriage, that is just wrong.

But the truth cannot be denied: Gay rights is the civil rights struggle of current times.
Excluding marriage, exactly what rights are gay people denied that would make it the "civil rights struggle of current times"? Should be allowed to marry? Yes, I think so. But's hardly an epic struggle of modern times. That's pure hyperbole. That's calling a hangnail a medical emergency. Plenty of straight people go their entire lives without ever marrying. So what else other than marriage are gay people denied?

What made being gay a focal point of Christians. Is it simply that most of them broke the other rules ?

Pretty much the same?

You mean like, if they marry, they'll make babies and mix the races?

Coalition Of Black Pastors Speaks Out Against Gay Marriage
1. Many conservatives support same-sex marriage, and their numbers are growing.

2. A coalition of black pastors does not represent the American black community at large.

Probably The Book of Romans...that's in the New Testament.

"For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due."

Romans 1:26-27

Again, in context, that passage talks about all kinds of sex, murder, strife, non believers and couple of other words i dont even recognize.

So why specifically gay sex ?

Coalition Of Black Pastors Speaks Out Against Gay Marriage

Too freakin' little too late!!!

Most of those idiots VOTED TWICE for the man in the White House who is the champion of this mess!! The leader who is setting the tone for the most aggressive push we have ever seen for the normalizing of homosexuality!!
Barack Obama!!

And now they mad??????? Really???? LOL!!! Now they're speaking out!!!

Go away!!! Just go away!! Ya'll made all of this possible!!!

Obama hid his support for gay marriage the first time....But the second time??? He came out with it!!! But ya'll black pastors still voted for him..............AGAIN!!!

Now you are living in a society where your very religious freedoms are in jeopardy from this!!

Black folks act like they cant vote for any party but Democrats!! And Barack still got the "first" black Prez pass!

Wow..........and now they mad!!! LOL

Probably because the other stuff is illegal, uncommon, not being shoved down our throats, etc.
