It's called sarcasm. Did you see the little tid bit that the US has the 10th highest minimum wage when adjusted for purchasing power?

b-b-b-b-b-ut America's the most wealthy nation in the world! Until they are the highest paid country in the world, why can't we socialize that wealth around for the poor?

Yep, there are other countries that have it figured out, though most of those countries allow unionized workers to set the wages for the country rather than having the government do it. But in the US, businesses have managed to deunionize just about every aspect of the American economy so that unions no longer have any real power to dictate wages for their workers.

Have the citizens of those most fortunate countries figured out their much higher unemployment rate yet? How about the homeless problem plaguing their streets and alleys?

Each country is different, I have no interest in getting into a generalization argument with you. If you believe paying employees a living wage causes rampant unemployment, then maybe the Asian model is what you wish our country would be more like where hard working Americans live in deep poverty making only a small amount of money a day for their jobs. That would truly kill every bit of the middle class, is that what you want to see happen here?

It doesn't cause rampant unemployment, it just causes unemployment. This point has been proven by the law of supply and demand. A minimum wage is called a price floor.

No kidding. Well, I guess it's a tad bit easier being able to lock up your border and keep mainly white people in and minorities safely segregated into their own neighborhoods. Those tolerant W. European countries...
