I don't need anyone with an agenda telling me their skewed leftist opinion on why our medical costs are so high.

It boils down to one thing.....government interference.

It's the same reason that the housing crisis, banking crisis, college loan crisis, economic crisis, etc, etc happen.

Government needs to be kept out of the things which they have no legal constitutional authority to be involved in.

Don't need to. It was posted by a leftie, and since you are supporting it, my case is even stronger.

We lead the world in medical innovation.

It's expensive but the best in the world. There is a reason many foreigners come to America to have various procedures done because we have the best doctors and innovate with cutting edge procedures. Poor people and even illegal aliens essentially get free health care anyway.

Why are costs higher in the U.S.? The U.S. funds the world's medical R&D.

R&D in America: Bad medicine | The Economist

Other countries negotiate lower prices on pharmaceuticals, medical devices, etc., and don't fund the R&D for the pharmaceuticals and medical equipment from which they benefit. We here in the U.S. pay for that.

And we have world class facilities, the best doctors trained in the latest cutting edge procedures. This isn't going to come cheap obviously.
