And on May 2, a Christian father in Ramallah killed his 22-year-old daughter after she told him she wanted to marry a Muslim man, triggering demonstrations by both Christian and Muslim women in that city.
Plus, you're comparing a church with about 30 members (mostly from the same family) to a religion with over a billion followers.
Well you’re indicating that the actions of one person represents the beliefs of muslims, who total over a billion too. So in your logic, one person can account for the beliefs of over a billion people but 30 people cannot do the same for another religion?
Phelps calls himself a Christian Democrat, it's a package deal, you buy one you own both.
Ok, I think I understand this whole discussion, the guy who killed his daughter represents wholly and accurately the tenets of islam and therefore all muslims. So following that logic by those opposed to islam, then phelps, who is a christian and has his own church, then represents all christians. Since he is a democrat, then all christians hate homosexuals and are democrats. After all, that is the logic being applied to muslims due to the actions of a few fundamentalists. So fundamentalist beliefs are the true representations of a religion. Got it now. Thanks everyone.

This is documented where? And what reason is there to believe those who support terrorism are any more true Muslims than Phelps and his ilk are true Christians?
And even IF accurate, we should condemn over 80% of a large group of people for the beliefs of 20%?

That's the way it works in the "My God is better than your God" world.
Those opposed can be 'educated' by Inquisition, Crusade, Witch Trial, Jihad, Holy War, or other convenient traditions.
Bad, but it says more about the culture of Pakistan than it does about Muslims worldwide, and especially Muslims such as those in the US, Europe, and Canada who choose to move to liberal democracies.

What's the trigger point? 5%? 10%? 15%?
Pew poll.
what people should do is stop saying it is just a handful of wackos,it is a over 20% of those who responded honestly saying they support violence in the name of Islam....
How can any sane person look around the globe and see the violence being pereptrated BY Muslims on others and NOT thinkthere has to be a high level of support for it?
