Look im no fan of conservatives, but mother jones is written with a goal in mind, not the truth. In that case the truth and their goal lined up.
Breitbart might be a better comparison, sometimes....breitbarts goal and the truth line up and they can produce valid articles, so can mother jones. The problem is, when you lie or mislead the vast majority of the time, it makes anything you say suspect.
The MO never changes. It's better to lie and get your way than to be honest. Being honest has the effect of displaying their hypocrisy as well.

The point was how the pro 2nd amendment folks were being portrayed wrongly, as if they were lining up to do battle. The truth was the polar opposite, because though they were armed (which was the point) they were also peaceful.

The problem is that Mother Jones spins everything, generally. Breitbart has been proven right far more consistently than Mother Jones. Mother Jones plays to a willing audience of sheep who will get frothy at the drop of a hat. They seem to damn critical thinking as a plague.
