i can get behind reparations for slavery. find me every one that was alive during the slavery era, and who was a slave, and lets give them money to compensate them for their time as a slave. i doubt however that you will find many people over the age of 150 years.

But why pivot away from gays? Shouldn't we get reparation payments too? Think of all the discrimination my people have faced. I've suffered just as much as any black person did decades ago. I believe I deserve all of your money.

(joking)

The last time criminal sodomy laws were enforced, which was not that long ago. There are men living today who lost their freedom for liking their own sex.

His articles on President Obama are very good as well. Fear of a Black President - Ta-Nehisi Coates - The Atlantic
The Champion Barack Obama - Ta-Nehisi Coates - The Atlantic

I'm too lazy to read this apparently long article.

Does it advocate giving reparations to all black people or only to the black people which had ancestors as slaves here in the U.S.?

Also, did any other country offer reparations for slavery yet?
