Yes, many of the boomers were against the Vietnam war; however, compared to GenX, the boomers are considerably more supporting of things like: fighting terrorism, supplying rebels, taking out dictators, preventing the development of nuclear or chemical weapons ECT.

It's gone beyond that now.
And they even have their own malware to install on computers.

They spied on the head of the UN and got his talking points before Obama met with him.
Rice asked the NSA to spy on the UN Security Council members when talks of Iran sanctions were ongoing.

Obama took spying to a new level to use for diplomatic and economic strategy planning.

It is possible. But when many millions across the world, including Americans, are slain in WWIII, they very well may change their tune, and figure it is better to spend pennies to keep evil bottled up, than to pay gallons of blood to fight it on a global basis.

I am amazed at short-sighted people who don't understand human natue in the least.

Nature abhors a vacuum. If the U.S. is no longer the top dog, i.e. worlds policeman, somebody else will fill the role, and it won't be a policeman-role, but most likely a gangster who will rape, pillage and plunder on a global basis as did the little Emperor from Japan did, or his Austrian Corporal from Europe did.

There is, after all, why we adopted the role after WWII. We didn't want to go through WWIII, and if you think deeply and clearly, neither will you.

You might want to check the voting record of the so called progressives on those wars.
Progressives love to play world cop.
Who bombed Libya?
Who wanted to bomb syria?
Who has been bombing Pakistan?
Who just sent troops to go looking for the kidnapped girls, none of which were American?
Who just made a deal with the PI?

Ab-so-LUTE-ly! Listen to some of the protest songs from the sixties! We Boomers didn't invent this policing the globe business, not by a long shot! (No pun intended!)

I pointed out early in this thread that is wasn't boomers.

Pelosi, Reid, Feingold, McCain, Clapper..none of them are boomers.
They are all Silent Generation who grew up with dictators and world wars as reality, not pages in history books.
These people are living in the past and fear the next "Hitler".

You were policing the globe before Boomers existed......that is what Empires do to protect the Empire.

Are you willing to surrender the Empire?

Don't say you are, because you are not willing to give it up. If you want, I can dredge up your posts to prove it.

And that is totally irrelevant so long as the "you-Harvard" Trotskyite-Young-People's-Socialist-League-turned-Social-Democrats-turned-Neo-Conservatives continue to control critical positions in the Bureaucracy.

That's because they are ignorant of their own history thanks to incompetent union public school teachers.

Um, your current Geo-Political Strategy terminates when you have successfully gained control of the eastern Russian Republics.

I'm guessing you've never heard of Yugoslavia, Tunisia, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan or the other Central Asian States.

Yes, that is true.

And that proves, what, exactly?

Did Boomers march to protest LBJ's illegal overthrow of the Greek government in 1967, and the establishment of a military dictatorship, which resulted in the deaths of more than 8,000 Greek civilians in the first month of fighting alone?

Um, Neo-Cons have been running your country since the FDR Administration.....

....that's you.

Remember? There's a couple of guys in Paris named Lenin and Trotsky. Germans put them on a train bound for Moscow. Lenin and Trotsky overthrow the monarchy. Lenin and Trotsky have an ideological rift. Trotsky is exiled and flees to Mexico where he takes up residence in Mexico City.

Quite a few Americans are enamored with Trotsky. They visit him in person, call, and correspond through the mail. Trotsky helps them establish a group called the Young People's Socialist League, or YPSL.

The YPSL is very affluent -- and influential -- holding degrees from Ivy League Colleges. They obtain numerous appointments to bureaucratic positions in the FDR Administration.

They merge with another political party, the Social Democrats and become the YPSL-Social Democrats. As the Red Scare emerges, they drop the YPSL part and are simply known as Social Democrats.

They continue to gain control of the Bureaucracy, especially key positions in foreign policy related agencies, and the Alphabet Agencies (CIA, DIA, NSA, NIS, USAID, etc etc etc).

They gave you the Grotesque Society.

Shortly afterward, they came to realize that the then-present Geo-Political Strategy was a total failure.

They developed a new Geo-Political Strategy which you have been executing since the 1970s.

That started with the US quitting Vietnam; closing military bases in Southeast Asia; withdrawing troops from Southeast Asia; abandoning treaties such as SEATO and ANZUS; and making overtures to the Chinese.

That started with Kissinger -- a YPSL-Social Democrat-turned-Neo-Con -- and his duplicitous actions during the 1971 Pakistani-Indian War that damn near started WW III (he gave China the green-light to invade India with TF 74 trolling off the coast of Mumbai).

Then the YPSL-Social Democrat-turned-Neo-Con kicked Taiwan off of the UN Security Council, brought China on board; kicked Taiwan out of the UN, replacing them with China; sending Nixon to China; abandoning the Gold Standard in favor of the Petro-Dollar; and then issuing the Carter Doctrine, which gives the US the "right" to intervene anywhere in the Persian Gulf Region for any reason or no reason at all; plus an RDF to back it up.

And then we have the seminal works of Neo-Con Irving Kristol: "Two Cheers for Capitalism".....get it?

Two Cheers instead of Three Cheers?

Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?

Which part of "Young People's Socialist League" do you people not understand?

And who can forget Neo-Con Daniel Bell's "The Cultural Contradictions of Capitalism?"

And then we have Neo-Liberal George Bush with his Neo-Con White House Staff fixing you up for Iraq. Oh...looky looky....an entire US army corps parked in Germany which has spent the past two years training in the fine art of Desert Warfare in the Turkish desert bordering Iraq --- because we all know there are millions of acres of desert land between Berlin and Moscow.

How'd that happen? What a stroke of luck. And a bonus....an entire armored brigade under British command in NORTHAG just happens to have spent the last two years training in Desert Warfare, because we all know northern Germany is a big giant desert, and it is important to spend US tax-payer dollars to train them to fight in a desert environment.

After that comes Neo-Liberal Clinton with his Neo-Con White House Staff who castrated Yugoslavia and engaged in secret illegal wars in Central Asia to illegally overthrow those governments to gain control of the resources and establish military bases in furtherance of the Geo-Political Strategy.

Remember the Iran-Kosovo-Bosnia Scandal? Clinton and Neo-Con Tony Lake were buying weapons and munitions from Iran with US tax payer dollars --- which is illegal -- and shipping the weapons to al-Qaida lieutenant al-Zawahiri in Albania so he could smuggle them into Bosnia and Kosovo-Metohija.

Clinton nominates Neo-Con Tony Lake to be CIA Director, and he gets shot down at his confirmation hearing because of the Iran-Kosovo-Bosnia Scandal....by the majority Republican committee.

I guess it's a good thing Republicans aren't Neo-Cons, otherwise the Republicans would have over-looked Lake's grotesque violations of the US Constitution and US Public Laws and appointed him anyway.

Remind us again how UNOCAL, Chevron, Amoco and British Petroleum ended up with 75% of the mineral, natural gas and oil rights in the Five Central Asian States?

Oh, yeah, Clinton overthrew those government with his secret illegal wars and then set up puppet-dictators who gave away the wealth and resources of those peoples to the US and US corporations.

Sadly, the US established puppet-dictators have been overthrown and the rightful governments returned to power.....I guess you'll just have to overthrow them again and install better puppets using US Export Democracy Central Asia! Version 6.21** with the Tyrannical Dictator module and Corrupt Military plug-in.

**US-written Constitution not included. Death Squad drivers not available for this area. US military equipment sold separately. See US State Department for details. If insurgency or terrorist activity persists, call Hillary at 3:00 AM and order all ambassadors to immediately travel to remote locations lacking any semblance of security. Void where prohibited.

Remind us again, who was Obama's foreign policy advisor during the 2008 Election Campaign?

Oh, that was Neo-Con Tony Lake.

Obama and his Neo-Cons and Neo-Libs are doing a good job with Libya and Tunisia, and trying to get you into Syria to control those Markets, plus deny Russia a strategic advantage, while simultaneously backing pro-US groups in Ukraine to gain control of those Markets plus gain a tremendous strategic advantage over Russia.

...and he we all are.

If you don't understand how your government works, at least try to pretend you do.

Politically...
