Sooo...you do know some of these biofuel experiments are designed to determine if we can make fuel with algae. IE take a couple hundred acres of desert, add water, cover it all so its vapor proof, and allow the sun to create biofuels.....

What if the resulting biofuel cost less?

Maybe you should research what going on instead of listening to someone tell you some biased hit piece?

So, here's a tidbit: Up until 2009, the North West passage was considered impractical for navigation, due to ice. Now, and I'm sure this has nothing at all to do with global warming - you'll probably insist Obama stole all the ice to redistribute to his thug Chicago friends or something - now the passage is not just navigable, it's set to become a major shipping route. The merchant carriers are already meeting to set up the ground rules, work out stuff like insurance and ship standards etc.

Do you think that it could just possibly be relevant for, oh, I don't know, the US Navy or someone, to adjust their strategic thinking based on a shift in the major shipping lanes? Or are we better served putting our fingers in our ears and stomping the ground while yelling "It's not happening!!!"?

Gravity can be proven. AGW is like a comic book..... and just as amusing.

Well it sure looks like they were well served by that alarmist report which got it's predictions so laughably wrong it would be comical if so much money, time and resources weren't wasted.
So when does the alarmist crowd become accountable for their failed predictions or yelling that the sky is falling so many times that it begins to sound like white noise. When do they become accountable for the billions of dollars spent based on their predictions?
It seems to me the answer is never. They just move the goal posts ahead and scream even louder.

So - in your expert opinion, where did the ice that has blocked the North West passage for the last few centuries go?

Wouldn't it be ashame to lose a war because your forces ran out of gasoline or jet fuel? Just like the Germans did in 1944-5. Also realize that all that high tech stuff doesn't work so well is if the batteries are dead. Solar power might be the difference between our soldiers being winners or blind deaf and dumb on the battlefield and then being POWs.
