These murder sprees get the anti-gun Americans upset and they want something done. But republicans refuse to even have conversations with them, instead republicans tell them "F--- you were keeping assault weapons and 20 round shotguns legal."

And right behind the so-called gun loving republicans backs, the anti gun Americans are passing gun control laws in states all across the country.

Personally I want to keep Americas gun culture legal. But Americas gun owning republicans have no real knowledge of firearms, no ability to have a conversation, and no idea of what a voting majority is.

When our children grow up these gun and knife grabbers may be ruling America, while the republicans are yelling "I will kill the police if they try to take my guns."

With a little conversation and justified gun safety measures America could have its legal gun culture forever. But republicans don't want those things (they want a fight with the voting majority.)

Nice job at trying to make taking away the rights of an individuals sound like a noble cause.

Whats does "gun culture" mean? Sounds like more progressive doublespeak.

189 million American people just lost some of their gun rights.

"41 new laws in 21 states and DC made it harder for people to own guns, carry them in public, and enhanced the government's ability to track guns. Together, these laws affect more than 189 million people."

The above link will tell you about Americas gun culture, and about gun cultures around the world. Notice how America has the biggest gun culture in the world (but its disappearing more and more everyday.)

39 Gun Homicides a year and the lowest crime figures in 30 years - it's all going haywire here in the UK, if only we had followed the US NRA's advice.

Banning locking folders=your brain on liberalism.
Knives are banned in public places such as town centres and shopping malls, in terms of hunting and countryside pursuits away from crowded public places there is a reason to have non folding knives and the police understand this, and the same applies for guns such as rifles and shotguns which are also used in outdoor activities in the UK but which would not be permitted in crowded public places.

The laws are perfectly sensible.

Here, straight from the horses mouth i.e.

http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/crime-...d-figure-5.xls

Crime in England and Wales - Quarterly First Release, March 2012 - ONS

Statistical bulletin: Crime in England and Wales - Quarterly First Release, March 2012

Analysis by Rapaport:

During 35 years between 1962 and 1997 homicide rate had been almost doubling every decade, climbing from 282 in 1960 to 748 in 1997. After all handguns guns were banned in 1997, the homicide rate initially continued to climb, peaking at 1047 in 2003, however it has been falling ever since and in 2012 was just 550 - roughly the same rate as in 1983.

Conclusion:

Banning guns in England and Wales in 1997 was not only able to stop the fast climbing homicide rate trend of years 1960 to 1997 in just FIVE years, but was able to reverse this dangerous trend in TEN more years, achieving in 2012 a homicide rate from 1983, while the population in the same time period grew by about 15%.
IN JUST FIFTEEN YEARS SINCE HANDGUNS WERE BANNED IN ENGLAND AND WALES THE HOMICIDE RATE DROPPED BY 25% - FROM 748 in 1997 to 550 in 2012

Let me know if you need anymore proof....
Yet crimes still exist. Gun or no gun.

The UK banned guns and now there is a movement to ban kitchen knives.

BBC NEWS | Health | Doctors' kitchen knives ban call

A&E doctors are calling for a ban on long pointed kitchen knives to reduce deaths from stabbing.

A team from West Middlesex University Hospital said violent crime is on the increase - and kitchen knives are used in as many as half of all stabbings.
They argued many assaults are committed impulsively, prompted by alcohol and drugs, and a kitchen knife often makes an all too available weapon.
The research is published in the British Medical Journal.
The researchers said there was no reason for long pointed knives to be publicly available at all.
They consulted 10 top chefs from around the UK, and found such knives have little practical value in the kitchen.
None of the chefs felt such knives were essential, since the point of a short blade was just as useful when a sharp end was needed.
The researchers said a short pointed knife may cause a substantial superficial wound if used in an assault - but is unlikely to penetrate to inner organs.

how else will the government be able to control the law abiding citizens? it is not like the criminals will ever follow any of those laws.
