Blazing Saddles is a classic, no doubt. But it is because of modern day racists and bigots that we can no longer enjoy such humor. They take comedies like this at face value. they really believe these things about blacks, jews, gays, etc. even when something is funny, it's hard to laugh in a room full of people laughing for the wrong reasons. Blazing Saddles is pretty much Mel Brooks' version of a Bugs Bunny cartoon. the racists are the butt of the jokes and are so dumb and predictable that it's hilarious. it's not funny, because all black men want white women or because all black men have giant black ****s. it's funny, because that's what racists think of black men.

No, not defending her. But people are getting their panties all wadded up because she dropped some n-bombs.
Had it been a black guy calling a white guy 'honky' or 'cracker' or 'Colonol Sanders' or whatever, would it be a big deal?
I think it's just another case of people looking for any opportunity to scream "I'M OFFENDED!!!"
