96% of poor parents said their children have NEVER gone hungry.
The other 4% said their children may have been hungry at some point in the past year.
Maybe you're looking at poverty in some other county like Haiti for example ?
They are eating.... because they are making so little money that they qualify for FOOD STAMPS
if not for the safety net... they will indeed go hungry and starve to death so no matter if you are a republican or a teabagger
the fact remains the same you are subsidizing the CORPORATIONS that fail to pay livable wages
and THAT is NOT ARGUABLE

"The first man who, having fenced in a piece of land, said "This is mine," and found people naïve enough to believe him, that man was the true founder of civil society. From how many crimes, wars, and murders, from how many horrors and misfortunes might not any one have saved mankind, by pulling up the stakes, or filling up the ditch, and crying to his fellows: Beware of listening to this impostor; you are undone if you once forget that the fruits of the earth belong to us all, and the earth itself to nobody. ”
— Jean-Jacques Rousseau, 1754
Since essentially our economy and society is based on a theft of the world's resources in order to concentrate them into fewer hands, I can see the point of someone saying someone who works fulltime shouldn't be in poverty.
I provided an example of how everyone wont have to afford food or shelter with no salary at all
just bring back that peculiar institution and be done with it
So then drink water, don't eat chips, and exercise. Even if it means walking around the block every day. What a concept, right?
