I saw a television show on people addicted to it and harder drugs moving to Colorado to work in the marijuana industry. All I can say is they are welcome to them. It shouldn't take long for it to look like Seattle with young potheads everywhere.
Most folks don't smoke joints anymore. A bud or two in a pipe will do it just fine.
You're right that today's pot is much stronger than it was in the days of $10 lids. When the legal shops here in Washington finally open, I will be asking those young whippersnappers at the counter for the lowest THC content they have. I'm too old to be proud, I'll be thrilled to buy it legally.
Marijuana strains can be and are rated for their THC content. I would be just fine with requiring labels, and maybe even regulating low and high content strains differently, exactly as is done with alcohol.
(I'm showing my age - a lid was an ounce of marijuana in a baggie, primarily leaf. And yes, the going price was $10 - $20.)
I'm also showing my age-it was "nickle" or "dime" bags back in the day ($5 or $10 at one point...prior to inflation). I have no idea what it goes for these days, but with legalization I imagine it's come down a lot. Might have to make a trip into Spokane before my next camping trip Around a campfire in the woods is the perfect place to get lit.
Did the candy wrapper inform her of any risks? No. The morons here, would be the legislators who rushed to gave the green light for a drug that could do this to a person.
I don't know if the candy wrapper was labelled or not but if you are going to take a mind altering substance then you should probably do a little bit of research beforehand. Especially if you are a reporter and are taking the mind altering substance so that you can write a story about it. People need to take some personal responsibility. The information is out there and has been for a very long time.

I don't see that too often... Usually I can get an eighth for $25 and a quarter for $50, which is usually the maximum I'll get at one time. Yeah, it isn't necessarily the medical grade stuff, but it works. Not to mention if I mix it with what's left in the jar, you never know what type of hum you might get.
