Why did 287,000-plus Californians vote for Leland Yee? - Politics Blog

Do we need any more proof that Democrats don't give a damn about ethics when it comes to their vote choices?

The man was just arrested on federal corruption charges for running guns and he still received 11% of the vote putting him in a solid 3rd place.

So? I remember a politician once losing to a dead guy. Or a city council election where the guy who won was in jail for pistol whipping is opponent.

Random things happen in politics.

You mean like Mark Sanford using tax payer dollars to cover up his affair and actually WINNING his race while running on the platform of the party that supports family values?

Sen. David Vitter wins re-election in remarkable comeback | NOLA.com

Then, of course, there's Newt Gingrich, whose financial corruption is only matched by his sexual and marital corruption. Elected and re-elected many times.

And let's not forget Mark Sanford. Ditto on both financial and marital corruption, yet here his is, elected after his particular scandal by Republicans to be a South Carolina House member.

And this list includes both Democrats and Republicans, though notably, the Democrats tend to be small-time hoods, while the Republicans are big names and major GOP heroes (Rubio, Blunt).

Of course, even you must know that corruption and voter idiocy crosses political lines. Why do you embarrass yourself with threads like these?

Yeah..low information/no information voters here in the US abound.
They don't read and for sure don't follow politics.

If you want them to learn something then put it on "Dancing with the Stars" or the many reality shows.
Otherwise they are clueless.

The fact that several million people didn't vote for him in the primary blows your idiotic dribble out of the water.

LOL

there are like 12 sitting Alabama Republicans Reps and Senators under investigations. A Couple of them decided not to run for re election, but everyone of them that decided to run won their primaries last night and some of them do not even have an opponent on the ballot come November, so they are assured reelection, regardless of if they are in jail by that time.

So yea, lets attack Democrats.

The fact remains in California a Dem was held accountable and lost his seat while in red states like Mississippi Republicans are corrupt as hell yet never lose their seats.

Facts just aren't on the OP's side but, I guess, that's nothing new.
