You keep moving the goal posts here. Just because a city doesn't make the top 10 or is inexpensive to live in doesn't make it a dying town.

There are plenty of cities that are affordable to middle class families all over the US.
I said "stagnant" not dying.

Out of that list, Corpus and Beaumont are the ones that aren't tiny towns. Beaumont has been pretty much stagnant since the 60s. And Corpus has seen growth but is primarily a government/military town, which the military does do a good job creating middle class friendly cities due to them being the biggest employer typically and everything caters to the military.
