No I did not read the whole bill, but from I did read I fail to see any logic behind it preventing rape or other forms of sexual violence on college campuses. It just seems like another loony California Nanny-State "Control the Masses" bill, the same type that was introduced in New York City to ban bottles of soda. It's just ridiculous how big the Government is in some states.
If this bill passes, all a college or university has to do to not be governed by it is refuse to accept state funds.
Indeed, they're always first to come up with some crackpot idea ( or else it's new york) Interesting these loony ideas always happen in the most populated democrat states ( usually).
Oh, you mean like Republican Virginia bill banning oral sex between consenting adults? Kind of like that?
Well, remember, the Tea Nuts are the same people who invented the idea of "legitimate rape," so it's no surprise that they are opposed to bills that at least try to reduce sexual violence.
Yes, Republicans, please come out fully against this bill and continue your successful outreach to women voters.
Did you just blame Hollywood for rape?
Are you denying Hollywood has nothing to do with it?
Who talks sex in the 80s or 90s. Yes, we dated in our teens, but sex is off limit. Right now, having sex early is the new in. Having more partners is even inner. The cooler kids on the block is someone who sleep with a lot of people. Friend with benefits? Sex tape? Just name a few
The bill hasn't passed, for one thing. And it doesn't ban "Heat of the moment" sex. But it is in California, so - 1 out of 3, pretty good by Breitbart standards.

Any respectable man would get a solid affirmation of "yes" regardless of the law. Beyond ultimately protecting your hide, it's what a decent person does.
But please continue with explaining why the state shouldn't try to prevent rape. Or is date rape, incapacitated drunk sex, or heat of the moment cohesion not "legitimate rape?"

You must have lived through a different 90s than I did. Sex has never been off limits. And there's much more going on if a young man cannot control sexual urges because of sex in movies.
Not defending indecency in Hollywood, or early sexualization, but poor decisions and worse parenting is to blame for non consensual sex, not movies.

There are loons in both parties no doubt, however the vast majority of this loonyness comes from the far left.
Ah, politics - one of the few places where one can make entirely groundless accusations and at least half of the people will nod in agreement.
