Tranlation..............we need to jump off the cliff first and hope others follow. That "hope" and "change" hasn't worked out so well up to this point. Hey why not jump off the cliff right warmers??

"WHEN it comes to dealing with the world’s climate and energy challenges I have a simple rule: change America, change the world. If America raises its clean energy standards, not only will others follow — others who have hid behind our inaction — we’ll also stimulate our industry to invent more of the clean air, clean power and energy efficiency systems, and move them down the cost curve faster, so U.S. companies will be leaders in this next great global industry and American consumers will be the first to benefit."

This from the Harvard educated genius............

"“Science is science,” he said. “And there is no doubt that if we burned all the fossil fuel that’s in the ground right now that the planet’s going to get too hot and the consequences could be dire.”

Unreal.

Today the eyes of all people are truly upon us—and our governments, in every branch, at every level, national, state and local, must be as a city upon a hill — constructed and inhabited by men aware of their great trust and their great responsibilities. For we are setting out upon a voyage in 1961 no less hazardous than that undertaken by the Arbella in 1630. We are committing ourselves to tasks of statecraft no less fantastic than that of governing the Massachusetts Bay Colony, beset as it was then by terror without and disorder within.

History will not judge our endeavors—and a government cannot be selected—merely on the basis of color or creed or even party affiliation. Neither will competence and loyalty and stature, while essential to the utmost, suffice in times such as these. For of those to whom much is given, much is required..
- Address of President-Elect John F. Kennedy Delivered to a Joint Convention of the General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

We must boldly lead. Not listen to those who fear, or don't even understand, science and progress. As in the 1960's the US became a world leader in unproven technologies...then as the leader benefited from those for decades to after. We must ignore the voices of those who are cowardly and willfully ignorant so we might benefit again from the lext leap of progress.

It is quite amazing how many are still under the spell of this guy and his minions. I think it is mostly because they are ashamed they were so wrong and now can't admit it and will argue to the end. Sad.

Kennedy said "lext leap of progress". He must have had the same speech writers Obama has now.

If Obama has a really low IQ...how can he keep doing things like surviving scandals (at the same time making the GOP look like idiots), keeping Obamacare alive after 40 repeal attempts, and get elected twice while keeping a majority in the senate?

I'll make a deal: if HE jumps off the cliff first, I'll jump off next, but only after I hear him splatter all over the ground when he hits the bottom.

Really, Brak-brak, I promise I will. I PROMISE.
