I think many of the posters here who have brought up drugs, poor upbringing, etc, have very good points.
Those of you who continue to blame the method of carrying out the massacres will continue to miss the mark by a wide margin and the problem will continue to grow. It's easy for anyone to kill if they really want to--they don't need a g*n. They can pour a vial of chemical into your drinking water supply reservoir. They can doctor your loaves of bread in the grocery store. They can turn their car into a Molotov cocktail. Until you deal with the defective mind behind the means, there is no point in even discussing the problem.
But. They. Don't.
Why is that, and why do you people refuse to answer that question?
Fix the medication problem and presto! Mr. Sovereign Citizen in Georgia won't be able to attack a courthouse.

Seems so obvious, yet so many people don't get that.
There is no evidence really for or against-just that they were all on something. But these SSRI pills have known and troubling side effects like sexual dysfunction, suicidal thoughts, depression, anger, sleep deprivation. We really don't have the facts on what these pills actually do to growing brains in adolescents and the FDA has not done enough to regulate the most profitable industry in this entire country-Pharmaceuticals.

Crazy people are born every day without benefit of drug-taking mothers. People decide to become "sovereign citizens" or other extremists every day without benefit of drugs. Seems pretty obvious, but then again, gun lovers aren't really interested in solving the problem, only in diverting attention from their arsenals.
Please share your plan for eliminating crazies and extremists, so we can all get on with the business of playing with guns. Thanks.

Because it's easier to pull a trigger. When it's not, they will buy a sabre. When that is unavailable, they will smash your head in with a rock or spend two years pumping iron in the gym so they can kill you with their bare hands. The means are not important. The motivation is.
There are a lot of anti-social, even dangerous things that Little Johnny could engage in. Please answer the question: Why does he choose GUNS?
That's even more important than what causes Little Johnny to be a drugged out loser. Unless, of course, you're incapable of understanding actual, real-world problem-solving, or you're more interested in protecting the gun culture than in coming up with answers.

It is, but the people that don't see it are too clouded by fear and emotion. Sad really because maybe they could actually help these things not happen again in the future. All they are is dividing a populace.
Still not answering the question, and when faced with the challenge, you admit you're more interested in the Constitution and an outdated, unrealistic amendment than in real people's lives.
