A 2002 briefing - are you effin' serious? In 2002, the US intelligence community knew jack sh.t about what happened in Iraq. None of that intel held up. The "biological facility" mentioned - what happened to that after the occupation? Disappeared?
The inspectors went on one wild goose chase after the other, because the US intelligence community either didn't know its ass from its elbow or cooked the data to help make the case for war.

Obama's own current DNI said Iraq moved illicit weapons to Syria.

And yet, Obama appoints the man who says Iraq moved illicit weapons to Syria as his DNI. Go figure...
If the Obama administration had aided the more moderate resistance fighters in Syria, then the ISIS may not have become the most powerful resistance fighter group in Syria, or would have spread in Iraq. Even the Obama administration or the West did not give any significant aid to the moderate resistance groups after it was proven Assad used chemical weapons.
Yet America and the West have largely been passive regarding the situation of Syria and doing little to have aided the more moderate forces there.
I agree, apparently not aiding the rebels in Syria DID NOT have the desired effect, it only strengthened jihadists in Syria, but also in Iraq where the U.S lost so much blood and treasure.
I read an article about yesterday, where a official employed in the State Department said of the events in Iraq, "It makes you want to kill yourself".
When you look at our foreign policy, how can a sane person come to any conclusion other than it's run by Corporate America? There is no national policy here, just a dangerous group of capitalists with very lethal weapons.
Absolutely true. The people truly running this country are not in the White House, they operate in the shadows. I wouldn't be surprised if every new President is escorted to a safe house somewhere and told "Now listen here mother***er, this is how things are run, and these are the parameters from which you will operate. Say what you want, but don't go off the reservation"
