BREAKING: House to Launch Investigation of Obama for Releasing Terrorists

''Rep. Paul Ryan pledged Friday night that House Republicans will investigate President Barack Obama’s deal to secure the release of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.''

''For now, he said, the Senate is a “graveyard of good ideas” and Republicans must focus on aggressive oversight as their best bet to hold Obama accountable.''

“I’m part of the IRS investigation,” Ryan told about 600 people in a ballroom at the Hotel Roanoke. “We’ve got the Benghazi investigation, the Veterans Affairs investigation, and we’re going to do an investigation about this troop transfer with the Taliban. So we’ve got a lot on our plate.”

It's about time !!!

Obama is not a king, and he needs his abuse of power put in check.

Hopefully this leads to his impeachment.

How many posts will it take to get a phony scandal line?

While I'm not fan of Obama this it a Republican dog and pony show.

They wrote the bill with the 30 day notification in it.
The President signed it with a statement that he would not follow the 30 day notification.
Congress did NOTHING about it then.

Paul Ryan has NOTHING.

I wonder how many of those who want to impeach Obama about this have POW-MIA flags.

Add it to the long--and ever-growing--list. Virtually everything the Republicans have done since Obama was elected falls into the "dog and pony show" category. They have become the party of dog and pony shows.

It doesn't matter to the right that Ryan has nothing. "Having nothing" has not deterred Darrell Issa in the least. In fact, his most famous long-running show has yet another sequel in the works. Why should having no basis for an investigation stop Ryan when that tactic has worked so well for achieving its goal, which is to keep the far right frothing at the mouth in outrage?

The continuous GOP dog and pony shows serve their purpose well. Reading this board is a testament to that.

There is nothing phony......this is just another scandal on top of the pile of many other scandals that have happened under President Obama.

Why do Obama defenders and Democrat loyalists keep trying to brush everything under the rug? The pile is too big to ignore and the American People have had enough and we want answers!

The 30 day notification is unconstitutional. Congress can't tell the CIC what battlefield decisions - including the disposition of prisoners he can make. It is an obvious affront to executive powers. It is as simple as that. Obama should have emphatically stated that on day one.
