no one is doing that. you however seem to be turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to some of the horrors the catholic church has done.

There are many indications that the parochial institutions were the jailers from God and did have a pretty terrible record. I don't find it unreasonable given the church of my youth and some of its proclivities those 60 years ago. Its view on atonement as an active art was strong and therefore making the sinner suffer was a good thing.

not at all. i posted an article on a woman who said she was misquoted and her words misrepresented. stay on topic. if other abuses are posted about then start another thread.

so you will acknowledge the nun's horrid behavior towards thousands of unwed mothers? treated them with little or no dignity? acknowledge the priests that molested countless young boys over decades and decades?

i guess we grew up in the same church but had different experiences. happens everywhere though with any organization.
