If it had not been for political pressure there would have been no trial untill technology advanced to the point that it could be determined beyond a reasonable doubt who was crying for help on the audio tape.
The original decision not to prosecute was correct.
The reasonable doubt standard is a good one; let's keep it.
Why did he attack? What was the motive? You do know that black people also have a right to defend themselves don't you?
Of course black people have the right to defend themselves but like everyone else, they don't have the right to attack people. Why did Trayvon attack GZ? Probably because he was a stupid thug looking for something to do.
Zimmerman wasn't on top, witnesses saw Trayvon Martin on top of George Zimmerman assaulting him before George shot him in self defense.

What do you not understand. You just have to listen to the tape in which clearly Zimmerman admits that Martin is running away and that he is following him.
Now if you to get technical about the law, the self defense statute in Florida IS stand your ground.
