They're working on their talking points, once crafted, the useful idiots will do what they are expected to do... repeat them.

At least they've got all weekend to come up with ways to explain how the impossible took place just at the time that they desperately needed it to.

This is watergate folks. Cover up. You do not lose emails due to computer crash, end of story.

IRS: Those Lois Lerner emails you wanted? Yeah, her computer crashed, so… « Hot Air
The old "my dog ate it" excuse?? Really, do they think we are that freaking stupid??

Stockman asks NSA for Lois Lerner metadata after IRS claims

Quote:
Admiral Michael S. Rogers
Director, National Security Agency
Fort Meade, MD 20755
Admiral Rogers:
First, thank you for your 33 years of, and continued service to, our country.
Second, as you probably read, the Internal Revenue Service informed the House Ways and Means Committee today they claim to “lost” all emails from former Exempt Organizations division director Lois Lerner for the period between January 2009 and April 2011.
According to chairman Camp, “The IRS claims it cannot produce emails written only to or from Lerner and outside agencies or groups, such as the White House, Treasury, Department of Justice, FEC, or Democrat offices” due to a “computer glitch.”

I am writing to request the Agency produce all metadata it has collected on all of Ms. Lerner’s email accounts for the period between January 2009 and April 2011.

The data may be transmitted to our Communications Director at Donny@mail.house.gov.
Your prompt cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated and will help establish how IRS and other personnel violated rights protected by the First Amendment.
Warmest wishes,
STEVE STOCKMAN
Let's hope the NSA comes through. We already know Holder and the IRS wont

http://online.wsj.com/public/resourc...roduction.docx

The IRS email system runs on Microsoft Outlook. Each of the Outlook email servers are located at one of three IRS data centers. Approximately 170 terabytes of email (178,000,000 megabytes, representing literally hundreds of millions of emails) are currently stored on those servers. For disaster recovery purposes, the IRS does a daily back-up of its email servers.

Ive had many computer crashes, blue screens of death. Not once, not one damn time, have a lost anything close to what they are claiming was lost.

Ive erased my hard drive before, had flash cards get screwed up. You can go in and retrieve a lot of data with certain programs. And all that is if you actually believe none of those emails were backed up on a server.

So you obviously arent the least bit concerned that important emails involved in this investigation belonging to someone who refused to testify, just got "lost"? LOL

You are a hack. Plain and simple.

Well, this whole investigation of nothing at all is just a muck-racking exercise: nothing bad happened, but if you question enough people enough times you'll get somebody to forget something or find a deleted email and then "AH HA!". Or so the thinking goes. It's just political theater, like the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal. The GOP has nothing productive to do or say, so they throw crap at the wall until something sticks.

Good point. Considering that any moderately literate 15 year old can retrieve data from a wiped hard drive, the idea that the IRS is filled with such incompetent morons that they can't even do the same is almost worse than the thought that they are hiding things.

Read this and on that thread tell me why these questions shouldn't be answered. No Obama supporter has been able to make an actual argument as to why we don't deserve answers to these questions.
