Can you come up with a list of his critics who've been silenced?

Limbaugh? Hannity? Beck? Levin? Anyone?

He makes Hillary's vindictiveness look like the tantrums of a 5 year old.
Very convincing.

Foreign policy takes valuable time away from Obama to continue with his social engineering of the US.

Colin Powell.
I think he learned a lot after getting screwed by the Bush Administration, and would have been a more independent, competent, and seasoned leader to be our first black president.

I couldn't care less about the color of a president. Obviously the current one is completely inept at foreign policy. Anyone else would have been better.

Powell was offered the support of the GOP for the nomination after the end of the 2nd Bush Administration. He turned it down, influenced by his wife who didn't want to have anything more to do with politics. You can't force a man to run for office. So y'all got McCain instead.

What would Powell have done differently re Iraq withdrawl? What should have been done differently? The Iraqi government wanted US troops out.

I agree. Saudis are allies you don't want your back turned to. However, US and Saudi economic ties are intertwined no matter how much we may distrust each other.

But, presuming all you wrote in your post is true, which I do not doubt, I often wonder about the short sighted view of nation states. ISIS is definitely a monster that should it prevail will swallow the Saudi Kingdom. it is the law of unintended consequences.

Nothing would surprise me in the world of middle eastern political intrigue.

Actually, I was thinking more of the media in general (do you not remember the government pulling phone records of journalists?), Snowden, and Assange. Not to mention the IRS persecution of "dissenting" organizations.
