In order to win a lawsuit, the Catholic hospital in Denver took the position that a fetus is not a person until it's born. Apparenty when money is on the line, the church isn't worried about much else. After they won their lawsuit, they reversed positions again and said that what they argued in court was "morally wrong." Talk about hypocrisy...
Considering how many times a Catholic hospital has refused to help a woman if it meant harm to a fetus because of their belief in personhood...I can't blame anyone for charging this hospital with hypocrisy when money is on the line.

Google 'Catholic Hospital Refuses' and you'll get plenty of hits.
See, it's just that having interned at a Catholic hospital and bothering to read what the Catholics themselves have to say there is no criteria in which medical care is denied due to pregnancy.
Elective abortions will always be a no-no for Catholics, however a woman with an ectopic pregnancy (requiring removal of part of the fallopian tube aka salpingectomy), or say a malignant uterine tumor (requiring a hysterectomy) will receive treatment including destruction of the fetus, which is regarded as an "unfortunate unintended outcome of medical care".
Google can suck it, I have direct experience in this matter.

The church is defending the church --not its beliefs
what is the church if not it's beliefs?
