This is a gay pride parade, not a tranny parade.

Even gays have problems with people who are confused about their gender.

Likewise, individuals who identify as transgender often find themselves, even among their gay and lesbian peers, misunderstood, mocked or called out as freaks. For the “confused” who lie somewhere in the murky in-between of gender or sexuality are often treated like outsiders, because they’re simply not gay enough

From the OP's link:

"The military’s current ban on transgender service members serving openly, minority recruitment tactics, and sexual assault scandals were factors in the board’s decision, Pride Executive Director George Ridgely told LGBT news weekly Bay Area Reporter."

Let's see...transgendered members have been identified as being unstable, we've always recruited heavily with minorities in order to give them a chance at a stable future, and many sexual assault accusations have proven to be fabricated.

From the link I posted in post #82:

""A recent commission, co-chaired by a former U.S. surgeon general, found that there was no 'compelling medical rationale' for not allowing transgender military service.""

This news has been all over the Bay Area. This pro gay stuff is going too far! Now gay activists are attacking our troops?! When will the Fascism end?! I thought the gay rights movement was all about tolerance? Guess not. Our military Men and Women fight and die so you can have the freedom to be gay and have your disgusting parades, and this is how you treat them? That's a slap in the face to our troops everywhere!

And they welcome Chelsea Manning? A sexually confused transgender soldier who stole classified documents and released them to the enemy? They support that traitor?

What is our society coming to?

who is surprised by this??? really

This wasn't an "excuse," it was a reason. Clinging to the past, clinging to these fossilized stereotypes is so, you know, 1960s.

All true. Many San Franciscans consider people like Nancy Pelosi, Gavin Newsom, and Willie Brown to be conservatives. It's a city full of extremists and intolerance for conservative or even moderate viewpoints.
