She's a Democrat. Why would she want to make liberals' heads explode?
The fact that she's a Democrat in Oklahoma means her proposal will go nowhere, but if it did ever come to a vote, conservative heads would explode -- because they would be forced to vote against the Bible.

Yes, and State Sen. Johnson, a black, likely decided to run for U. S. Senator in order to go out grander in defeat. It was of no use to face political defeat on a smaller scale by running to be reelected as state senator, since the Republicans rearranged her district so she wouldn't win it again by putting fewer blacks in it.
