Yep. Black people are well-known for their deference to second chances and looking the other direction. It pervades their culture, their lifestyle, and their perspectives in so many ways. Snitches get killed. Nobody saw anything. It's just another day in the neighborhood. It's them against the world in their view. The least they can do is protect their brethren from the law enforcement boogie man.
This is a very interesting article and touches on themes I've addressed on this forum before.
I've always stated that the Black community tends to take a hostile posture towards law enforcement and is more tolerant of crime than the larger community. This type of attitude feeds on itself and makes Black communities more dangerous.
The jury pool lives in the same neighborhood. Are you saying that if you are a white store owner and get robbed at gunpoint and shot you should just "get over it" because of differences in culture?
