And there were white groups that oppressed the Irish. Everybody has problems in life to overcome. You can blame someone else, or you can do something to improve your appointed lot in life. Play the cards you're dealt.
I do, very well. That doesn't mean I shouldn't point out hypocrisy and racism every chance I get.
I entered the job market in 1965 as a white male and was shut out of government jobs by affirmative action. Today at 70 I am still working because I have no pension like many of the blacks my age that retired from government service. Should I ask for an apology from them? Maybe they could share some of their retirement benefit with me?
