My biggest criticism of Obama is his lack of courage for not throwing Cheney in prison immediately upon taking office. It's not too late to do so and I'm sure many on the Right and the Left would applaud the action.
Agreed. I think it was a big mistake on the part of Democrats not to try Bush/Cheney for war crimes. Their disastrous invasion of a sovereign nation that posed no threat to the U.S. dwarfs anything that the president or the Democrats have done in the last five years combined. They should have never been allowed to walk away from their crime unpunished.

No, criticizing the President doesn't automatically make someone a "racist", but In war criminal Dick Cheney's case it does make him a hypocrite as his misguided Iraq War has ultimately destabilized the entire Middle East.

At this juncture, only ignorant NeoCons or oil tycoons pay any attention to what Dick Cheney or his airheaded daughter have to say about geopolitics.

Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney: The Collapsing Obama Doctrine - WSJ
Obama deserves every ounce of criticism. What we did in Iraq was the right thing to do. The strategy of allowing no "safe haven" for terrorists was the right strategy. A 'War on Terror' leaves no stone unturned, no place for terrorists to hide.

Unfortunately, Obama from the outset abandoned the 'War on Terror' and let our enemies know it.

Obama has aided and abetted terrorism, as he has been a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood, the father of al-Qaeda. The man is a stupid ass. Period.

So, the guy who wet the bed is criticizing the guy who had to change the sheets? That is a special type of lack of self-awareness seen maybe once or twice in a generation.

Dick Cheney's personal and professional legacy will always be the image of flag-draped caskets at the airport.

Dick Cheney has been wrong about everything with respect to Iraq. Here's an informative read that proves it.

Dick Cheney, did you really want to go there? - The Washington Post
Quote:
On March 16, 2003, days before the war started, Cheney sat down with the late Tim Russert on NBC’s “Meet the Press†for what still stands as the most revealing of the prewar interviews. Cheney was adamant that “to suggest that we need several hundred thousand troops there after military operations cease, after the conflict ends, I don’t think is accurate. I think that’s an overstatement.â€

“We will, in fact, be greeted as liberators,†he famously said and proceeded to play down the very sectarian divisions that are plaguing the country now. Russert asked: “And you are convinced the Kurds, the Sunnis, the Shiites will come together in a democracy?†Cheney replied quickly: “They have so far.†He went on:

“If you look at the opposition, they’ve come together, I think, very effectively, with representatives from Shia, Sunni and Kurdish elements in the population. They understand the importance of preserving and building on an Iraqi national identity. They don’t like to have the U.S., for example, come in and insist on dealing with people sort of on a hyphenated basis — the Iraqi-Shia, Iraqi-Sunni — but rather to focus on Iraq as a nation and all that it can accomplish as a nation, and we try to be sensitive to those concerns. I think the prospects of being able to achieve this kind of success, if you will, from a political standpoint, are probably better than they would be for virtually any other country and under similar circumstances in that part of the world.â€

Wars suck. Terrorists started the war with the worst attack on this country in history. Do any of you robots remember that? I was on the pile looking for bodies at the WTC. Sadaam supported terrorists. He proclaimed to have WMDs and every spy agency in the world thought he had them. Bill Clinton thought he had them. Sadaam would not adhere to UN resolutions. How could that be ignored? Liberals voted to go into both countries.
No myths here. Just some lberals trying to minimize the deaths of our brave soldiers. Obama has just given away the gains made in Iraq and Afghanistan. Yes treason is a good word for it.

Yup. And I was mad when SOME Democrats went along with it. You seem to imply that Democratic or liberal voters are somehow responsible for Iraq when it was the cowards in Congress that authorized it.

You're wrong.

That has absolutely nothing to do with Iraq. Nothing!

I read his op ed (crafted by Liz) and could only chuckle at the complete irony of it all. Dick Cheney is the poster boy of illusionary tales. He's very lucky to not have been charged for his role in propagating this mess to begin with.

Do you really think he was ever in any danger? I certainly don't. We don't do that in this country. We don't hold top people responsible. Once you reach a certain level of power, you're pretty much immune to punishment. You will not be held accountable no matter what you did.
