It is time we come to this realization. Iraq in it's present form is incapable of governing and bringing stability to it's country.

The US needs to take over the country and run it for them until they are capable and ready to behave like civil human beings.

We can split the oil profits for bringing some stability to the country.

It would be a win win for both parties.

Sounds like a throwback to colonialism. That those "savages" can't govern themselves, so the more civilized folks should do it for them.

You volunteering to go over there and do it, or are you just advocating sending others into harm's way?

The problem with your little scenario above is that not all of the folks in Iraq want us over there "helping" to run their country. That's what all those IEDs and other attacks on our military are all about. You remember those, right?

Not to mention the inherent arrogance and moral superiority involved with the idea that we know what's "best" for them.

Yep, so we should stay the eff out. Even if they have "resources" we covet. Leave them to their own devices. I'm done losing friends in horrific ways thousands of miles from home because we think we need to "free" some other people. I'm done.

Why are war hawks so ignorant and arrogant-it is the most dangerous combination.

Go over there yourself OP-The rest of us Americans want to start working on saving OUR country.

Sure ill volunteer so long as I am compensated well.

Those people also dont want to be in a constant state of civil war and terror.

I think city-data has a new WORST POSTER award to hand out.

You'll be compensated just as sparingly as our Iraqi/Afghani War veterans have been compensated.
