True. If you dont like a sport, dont watch it, but what is the point in hating ?
On the contrary, for most of us it's not really the sport we hate, but its fans who insist we're rubes for not embracing it that we hate. Most soccer "haters" would probably be indifferent to the whole affair if soccer fans would follow your suggestion of just watching it and not concerning themselves with whether others do or don't like it, often denigrating the sports we do prefer in the process.

We only have 1 international sport that is homegrown...basketball. Our other sports get scant attention in the rest of the world.
That would explain why the MLB website is available in five different languages.

Homegrown? The sport that was first invented by a Canadian and played by Canadians?
I love Basketball and Canada. I spent a lot of my youth up there. Played on traveling hockey teams and visited many great towns. In my later years we spent a lot of time up there skiing. My best Spring Break ever was at Whistler/Blackcomb. I remember during 9/11 that you Canadians let a lot of our planes land up there while we cleared our airspace, I don't view Canada as a rival more like a brother. I work for the US Army as a civilian and your Soldiers come down and train at one of our training centers here in Washington and they're always great people. Since we're close to the border we get lots of friends coming to visit us too, always welcome in our city. Great people, never have a bad thing to say about 'em. You're lucky to live there.
I don't think there's anything weird about people who like a sport wanting to share it with others. It's the folks who take offense to the concept of soccer and insist it sucks compared to gridiron football that is a little odd. If you don't like soccer, mind your own business!

Thank you. I think I'm lucky, too.
I've lived in a lot of different places, but this is by far the best.

Idk about most, every person i have heard who didnt like soccer was not indifferent, they said they just didnt like it because it was a sissy sport. It had nothing to do with the fans.
But again, thats just my personal experience, everyone has different experiences.
Is there anything you won't take credit for, from hot dogs to basketball to apple pie?
You mean we didn't invent Apple pie, hot dogs, and oxygen!
Damn...I'm dejected. Lol
