Most of us are quite fine with whatever name somebody wants to use. Most of us are mature enough to let others do what they want with a name even if its stupid or ugly.

Grow up.
Yes it's just football after all so just change the name and be done, why keep an offensive name for just a football team since it's insulting to Indians.

Neither of those are slur and you

You respect all, but think racial/ethnic slurs, in any form are okay? Just admit you really don't care if it's slur, it's not slurring your race/ethnicity so you just don't give a ****.

College team, 'Fighting Whities,' mocks school's Indian mascot | CJOnline.com

Here's a possible name change option for the Redskins. They sell gear and logos too. This is how you raise awarenes IMO. A sense of humor goes long way towards making life fun!

I think it's mostly due to people who live their lives through football teams, particularly one that has been pretty poor the last few decades. The absolute horror of changing a sports team name would be too much for some to bear, my goodness the tradition. These nutburgers that dish out tens of thousands of dollars just for the right to sit in a seat, no they aren't wrapped up in an alternate universe.

What do you spend your entertainment money on and why do you care what others spend theirs on? Do what you want but don't attack others for what they want to do. Unless you want to look ridiculous.

I gotta admit that i'm pretty offended by the name 'Dallas Cowboys' and 'Alabama Crimson Tide.' Don't like the words 'Arizona Wildcats' either.

I always liked the fans holding the Tide detergent boxes with a roll of TP hooked to it though.......lol

But hey if I use something other than Tide to do my laundry that may offend me.
